This two-story, 500 square foot exhibit at the Joliet Area Historical Museum, honors Dr. John C. Houbolt, the key advocate of the lunar orbit rendezvous concept, which enabled the 1969 moon landing of Apollo 11. Numerous interactives invite the visitors to demonstrate their prowess in space exploration. Eye-catching graphics and audio-visuals bring to life this unforgettable historic mission in space and the first lunar landing.

The exhibit uses Signal-Innova's GameWorks controller to help visitors understand various lunar orbits.
